ESG: La Doria obtains B rating for climate change from Carbon Disclosure Project
The leading company in the production of tomato derivatives, sauces, legumes, and private-label fruit juices has received a B rating, significantly improving its previous D rating.
This recognition marks another step forward in the company’s sustainability journey and its commitment to environmental protection.
Angri (SA), March 13, 2025 – La Doria, a leading Group in the production of private-label tomato derivatives, sauces, legumes, and fruit juices for major retailers, announces that it has obtained a B rating for climate change from CDP (Carbon Disclosure Project), a recognition that certifies the company’s commitment to fighting climate change and reducing the environmental impact of its activities.
CDP is an international non-profit organization that provides businesses, local authorities, governments, and investors with a global system for environmental measurement and reporting. In particular, the Carbon Disclosure Project evaluates corporate sustainability strategies, climate risk management, the existence of sustainability governance, and the transparency and quality of environmental reporting.
The rating assigned by CDP upgrades La Doria from a D to a B, confirming the company’s growing commitment to proactively addressing climate issues and ensuring a high level of transparency in environmental reporting. A key factor in this achievement was the validation in 2024 of La Doria’s greenhouse gas emissions reduction targets for 2031 by the Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi), a global body that enables companies to set ambitious emissions reduction targets in line with the latest scientific climate evidence.
The rating improvement further confirms La Doria’s commitment, demonstrated through significant investments in innovative technologies aimed at reducing environmental impact. Over the years, the company has implemented major projects to optimize energy consumption and use renewable energy sources in its production plants.
Antonio Ferraioli, CEO and Chairman of La Doria, commented:
“We are proud of this recognition, which confirms our concrete commitment to sustainability and reducing the environmental impact of our activities. The fight against climate change is one of the most crucial challenges of our time, and at La Doria, we continuously strive to adopt innovative and responsible solutions to ensure a more sustainable future. This recognition further motivates us to keep investing in advanced technologies, improving energy efficiency, and reducing our ecological footprint.”
The achievement of a B rating from CDP not only highlights the success of La Doria’s strategies to date but also underscores the company’s determination to continue on its path toward sustainability.
