LA DORIA OBTAINS UNI/PDR 125:2022 GENDER EQUALITY CERTIFICATION
The certification reflects the Group’s commitment to ensuring a fair and inclusive work environment and is in addition to the company’s endorsement of the United Nations Women Empowerment Principles (WEPs).
Angri (SA), February 11, 2025 – La Doria S.p.A., a leading group in the production of tomato derivatives, sauces, legumes and fruit juices under the Large-Scale Retailer brand, announces that it has obtained the UNI/PdR 125:2022 certification, a recognition that attests to the company’s commitment to adopting concrete measures to reduce gender gaps.
This certification is not only a significant achievement, but above all a starting point for La Doria, which is determined to continue in this direction, aware that only through a constant and shared commitment will it be possible to build a fair and respectful working environment for all.
The certification was issued by SGS Société Générale de Surveillance SA, a world leader in testing, inspection and certification. The process to obtain the certification included an evaluation of qualitative and quantitative KPIs related to various aspects such as culture and strategy, governance, HR processes, opportunities for growth and inclusion of women in the company, gender pay equity, parental protection and work-life balance.
Specifically, La Doria is committed to promoting gender equality through a multi-pronged strategy. Specifically, at the management level, a dedicated steering committee and a specific budget have been established to support initiatives. In addition, to ensure an increasingly safe and inclusive environment, the Group will launch programs to ensure equal opportunities in professional development, to promote parental protection, and to raise employee awareness on issues of equity and inclusion and against gender-based violence. But that’s not all: HR policies include non-discriminatory selection and hiring practices, as well as leadership pathways for women’s professional development aimed at increasing their presence in leadership roles.
“This important achievement represents a further step forward in La Doria’s commitment to valuing people and territory and creating a fair and inclusive work environment. The UNI/PdR 125:2022 certification is a concrete testimony of our focus on gender equality, the well-being of our employees and the link with the community in which we operate and is an incentive for us to continue to improve. In fact, we are aware that the path to real gender equality requires continuous commitment and a cultural evolution that involves everyone in the organization: we will continue to promote initiatives that support the personal and professional growth of our employees, thus strengthening our role as a responsible and sustainable company,” said Antonio Ferraioli, CEO and Chairman of La Doria.
The certification is part of the La Doria Group’s initiatives to promote people, their well-being and their skills, and in particular as part of its activities to promote gender equality, which include signing up to the United Nations Women Empowerment Principles (WEPs) in 2023.
